Refuse VS Deny

Sometimes learners often have problems distinguishing between them.
Refuse:
Say firmly that you will not do it.
Roman:
Inkar kar dena / mana karna,

Example:
1. She refused to go with me.
Usne mere sath jane se inkar kar dia.

2. We offered him a car but he refused it.
Hum ne use car offer ki lekin mana kar dia.
Deny:
To say that something is not true.
Roman:
Manne se inkar karna.

Example:
1. He denied the truth.
Us ne such manne se inkar kar diya.

2. He denied his son's fault.
Us ne apny betey ke ghalti manne se inkar kar diya.

Note:‎
One useful way of remembering the difference between 'refuse and deny' is to look at their opposite meanings.
Opposite of 'Refuse' is 'Accept'.
Opposite of 'Deny' is 'Admit'.
