Essay on My Aim in Life

"Essay on My Aim in Life"

(My Aim is to Become A Doctor)
Aimless life is certainly a sin. Many people have no definite aim in life. They are like the travelers going ahead without any destination. Aimless people do not achieve anything in life. The people who want success in life, first of all, determine their target. Different people have different aims in life. Some aim at wealth, some at power, some at fame, some at business and some at education and knowledge. My aim is neither wealth nor fame.I wish to serve my humanity. I want to become a doctor. It is a noble profession. In medical line, there is much more scope of service. So I am studying hard to achieve my target. After obtaining the medical degree, I plan to work in rural areas where there is much shortage of doctors. I would be best sort of service. This will give me extreme satisfaction and that is the aim of my life.I know, my profession is very dignified and it will help me to get peace and satisfaction in life. It provides you best chances of service. Sympathy to human being is the sympathy to one own self.

Terrorism

"Terrorism"

Terrorism is a worldwide phenomenon. It could be defined as the low-intensity warfare against the common man and the State. Terrorism in India has made us believe to coexist with virtuous path during the past decade.
What actually is terrorism-it is the spread of terror, as the name indicates. It could be spread, just by frightening the other, either by loot or killing. Terrorism at home has surpassed the latter variety, someone killing indiscriminately for pride or power. It has taken recourse to slow but sure poisoning of India by a continuous war of nerves, with our neighbour Pakistan exporting the act by training of unemployed infidels.
The objective of terrorism is to make people run out of the territory. Once terror spreads, people run away for cover thereby the perpetrator of the crime achieves the objective. This menace needs to be shelved out in Kashmir with an obvious intent of annexing Kashmir. For, if the caste Hindus flee and the ballot caste, there is no chance for a vote for India.
Terrorists have struck the bait across the state during 1990s, so much so that eighty per cent of Hindu community has fled from the scene to make home elsewhere. Such tragedy made people homeless in their own country. Now, new band of terrorists have spread hatred wings in other parts of the world. It appears the entire world has to work with constant vigil, tooth and nail, against the menace, before the orgy of destruction spree through the length and breathe of the world.
I think terrorism could be wiped off the scene provided the think-tank of the developed and developing world unites for the cause. No country could face the scenario and end this plan of destruction.

Freedom of Press

"Freedom of Press"

The modern man can be said to be molded by the press just as once he was said to have been by his barber and tailor. It means today man’s opinions, may be even his philosophy can be shaped by the papers and magazines he reads. One will no be fair from truth if one were to say one can know a man by the paper he reads. Thus we see the press has become so powerful that it has come to be called the fourth estate.
The democratic system rests upon the assumption that the citizen has access to a wide range of news and views. Only than can be form independent opinion on may important things like the foreign policy of his Government. Ultimately only this can ensure that his vote is based on fair judgment rather than determined by the coercion implicit in being forced to read and hear only the official view point. For instance a good paper may weigh the comparative merits of candidate for an election and thus help the voter.
The paper is so powerful that governments are afraid of paper. Naturally therefore government, given the chance would like to control the paper. They bring forth gagging orders such that the press cannot publish certain things. The press is not allowed to know certain news and thus pressman are prohibited from being present. The news in the paper may be highly censored so that various political parties in a country run their own papers. In England, for instance, there is the labor press as well as liberal press. In communistic countries, the party controls the press, so that no other wind expect that of the party be allowed to blow. The idea behind is quite obvious. Each party wants to propagate and broadcast its views through its paper.
The control of the press by the government through it may be desirable in times of emergency, is not so in normality’s. the control will kill the liberal growth of ideas and people will cases to grow. Just as the free air is desirable to keep the people healthy, today a free press is much important. A free ad fearless press can expose individuals and groups when they err. They may even chastise erring officials and out at the shall owners of certain government action. They may suggest a line of action and put forth proposals in schemes and projects of national importance. In short the free press can act as accelerator sometimes as also a brake sometimes.
