Past Perfect

"Past Perfect"

We use past perfect for an action that had stopped before second past.
In other words, an action had been done before something happened.

Roman:

Past perfect me 2 past hote hain. Jab 2 kam past me hn or ek pehle ho aur dosra kam bad me ho to pehle wale ko past perfect me banaya jata hai.

Urdu:

اس ٹینس میں دو ماضی ہوتے ہیں۔ جب دو کام ماضی میں اور جن میں ایک پہلے ہو اور دوسرا کام بعد ہو تو پہلے والے کام کو اس ٹینس میں بنایا جاتا ہے۔

Affirmative Structure:

Subject + had + verb-3 form
Third person singular + had + verb-3 form

Negative Structure:

Subject + had not + verb-3 form
Third person singular + had not + verb-3 form

Interrogative Structure:

Had + subject + verb-3 form
Had + third person singular + verb-3 form

Negative interrogative Structure:

Had + subject + not + verb-3 form
Had + third person singular + not + verb-3 form

میں نے صاف کردیا تھا۔	میں  صاف نہیں کر چکا تھا	کیا میں  صاف کر چکا تھا؟	کیا میں صاف نہیں کر چکا تھا؟

Tmne khalia tha	Tm nai kha chuke the	Kia tm kha chuke the?	Kia tm nahi kha chuke the?

Wo aa chuka tha	Wo nahi aa chuka tha	Kia wo agya tha?	Kia wo nahi aa chuka tha?
وہ آچکا تھا۔	وہ نہیں آچکا تھا	کیا وہ آگیا تھا؟َ		کیا وہ نہیں آچکا تھا؟

We use present perfect for an action that stopped recently but has an inflence on the present.

Roman:

Hum present perfect ka istemal us kam ke liyen krte hain jo past me hua lekin jiska sabot present me mojod ho.

Urdu:

ہم اس ٹینس کا استعمال اس کام کیلئےکرتے ہیں جو ماضی میں ہوا لیکن اس کا ثبوت ابھی بھی موجود ہو۔

Affirmative Structure:

Subject + have + verb-3 form
Third person singular + has + verb-3 form

Negative Structure:

Subject + have not + verb-3 form
Third person singular + has not + verb-3 form

Interrogative Structure:
